How can you market yourself ethically AND effectively?

This was the question I began asking myself about 7 years ago. I was struggling to build my own acupuncture practice and hated the idea of selling myself. Eventually I discovered a way to attract lots of new patients to my practice without being coercive or pushing my services on people.

What I did was to learn how to use the internet to attract people who are already looking for my services in my area. I learned how to get my website in front of those people. That way I was only interacting with people who already wanted the service I provide. I also learned how to use my website to begin a relationship with prospective clients. I learned that really effective marketing is relationship building. Someone is much more likely to use your services if they feel a connection with you and if they feel you have some understanding of where they are coming from.


Effective

Using these strategies, I was pretty quickly generating a stream of new patients, all of whom were calling me up from from the interent. I no longer had to go out chasing new work. Within a few months my practice doubled and I was able go full time. This was truly a liberating experience. Soon people began asking me how I had managed to this and I realised that there are so many therapists who have no idea how to go about using the internet in this way. That’s when I started to help other people to achieve the same results as I had. I soon discovered that the same techniques work no matter what therapy you practice.
